Liveslice Question - new user?

Sorry in advance if this is annoying. But can anybody recommend a freeware host to use liveslice with, i am told liveslice is the business for chopping up loops and mixing different loops together etc, i use Reason and Protools and i hear these don't support it - correct?

It's impossible to use VST plugins in Reason. Protools, I beleive, can use VST plugins using an adapter, but IMO your money are better spent on a cheap modular host like energy xt. The modularity works well with the outputs and midi out in LiveSlice, and it's pretty fast to render the output so you can import it in protools.
I never used protools, so I don't even know if it has midi... does it? If so you might consider the VST adapter idea.
