I do my drum tracks in acid with loops from cd's that I bought from Sony.
Do I need to add compression, reverb or any other type of fx, or do they come ''ready to use''?
Drum Loops: should I add any fx?

I'm not sure about the compression, I don't have Sony loop CD's. But the rest of the effects depends on what sound your after . I try to always put some fx in, to make it my own sounds, even if it's only a light touch of Metallurgy.
Another things that you might want to try, is to slice the drum loops with Devine Machine or LiveSlice (or with the chopper in ACID), so you can put different effects on the different sounds. A bit of distortion on the kick drum, a flange on the hihat, a delay on the snare, etc.
