As a paid-and-registered user from the days before Dr. Sync joined NI, I want to say: thank you NI & all others for working out a freeware distribution. I'm excited to see that there's a little love left in the SynC after all these years :)

I've been waiting for another modular software to support z-1 & sample-accurate work for a while now, I understand that Reaktor has some of that finally. But that's for another day, I have my hands full with the non-modular synth world enough as it is :)

Thanks to all involved, good to see an app like this available to all.

Unfortunately it crashes repeatedly on my system; I can run it, open an ensemble and play around just fine but the moment I try and open a different ensemble it just disappears, no errors or anything.

I feel like persisting though, lovely sounds in there.

i had a few tries of the demo a long time ago, didn't really know what i was doing then,

Anyone have links to some ensembles for this? (edit: just read the thread and found loads, thanks)

Well, I'll put online all the libraries and the app soon... I expect today will be ready.

We've done that :)

www.syncmodular.com

It's an archive of the old site done by Jonathan Leonard with Vadim's permission. On the download page, you'll find the codes and a .zip archive of the SynC stuff we've collected, including Martijn Zwartjes' ensembles :hail:

We'll be updating the site and fixing dead links, etc. over the coming days and weeks as we get more things. Stay tuned...

This link should work properly.
Not here, alas... with all things googlepages, whether I'm using Firefox, Opera, or Internet Exploiter, all I can do is dl an html index file as an attachment. But fwiw, your pages are nicely evocative.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Right click and save as worked for me in Firefox.

Sorry, the Googlepages link does deliver a html attachment. This is the link that works.

Well site is back online, with no iframes (Google Shites does not allow iframes!!!):

http://sites.google.com/site/syncensembles

Web interface slightly modified, now faster and easier.
The samples pack is uploading now... will be available in few minutes.
I've seen the archive published at Syncmodular.com and i've seen that the versions are not up to date.
Just add that I've classified the ensembles and tidied up some interfaces.
Anyway, i'll be pleased to see those (mine) files at the SynC Modular main site.

Thanks Vadim and NI, and ew.
