I am still searching for 2 kind of devices:
1. a realtime euclidean chopper (not sequencer!)... means a device which is able to output long incoming notes into chooseable (and best rotatable) euclidean rhythms directly during playback/receiving
2. a realtime quantizer which delays non grid notes to fall into a chosen grid (16th, 8th...etc...)
EDIT: Found!
Would be very kind if one could give me a hint... free or payware... doesn´t matter.

you can quantize while recording midi in the edit menu ...Trancit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:42 am I am still searching for 2 kind of devices:

Thx, but it shall be a realtime midi effect plugin...carrieres wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:55 amyou can quantize while recording midi in the edit menu ...Trancit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:42 am I am still searching for 2 kind of devices:

While this one I just solved... the Midular package contains a realtime quantizer which does what I want...
With the euclidean chopper I am not sure if Live 12´s new midi tools do what I want...
Can somebody with access to the beta tell me if the euclidean section can chop up existing notes too??

What is the difference ?
I am talking about realtime as explained in the manual :
17.5 Recording Quantized MIDI Notes
If you will be recording MIDI, you have the option of automatically quantizing MIDI notes while recording. The Record Quantization chooser in the Edit menu allows selecting the meter subdivisions with which your recorded notes will align.

The difference is that I am not recording!carrieres wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:49 am What is the difference ?

I mouse in my Midi (mostly), put in an Midi FX like Tombola and want to realtime listen to the outcome of Tombola already quantized while just playing back and trying out different quantize settings...
Especially on Midi FX which do not put out already quantized midi it´s adding a complete different groove to it...
Try it... you´ll be sometimes surprised what this does...

Yes... but as I wrote above... this I got already in the Midular package... but thx anywayliquidsound wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 2:20 pm Is this close to what you want?

What´s still lacking would be a euclidian realtime chopper...

It’s free and perhaps can do what you need.
It’s fairly deep.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwv3fgR ... e=emb_logo
Some of the many features:
Random and variable seq length…
Watch the video because it’s more than just a sequencer…
It works with both Audio and MIDI

^^^ GateLab emits MIDI CC signals, not notes. Trancit is looking for the free version of the Euclidean Keys feature in Falcon (Falcon is brilliant since has MIDI-Out)

That’s a secondary function…
I think he wants to feed quantized notes into the “chopper”.
Gate lab is a kind of chopper when you take in consideration the gate steps applied Randomly to the incoming midi notes and by changing the seq length loop AND position you can have a similar chopper, if not, better (beside being stereo and mono).

I understand your point but I think he needs to chop already generated notes (by Tombola) that have been quantized and then fed into GateLab for the gate/chop function in a randomized way in a variable loop length giving the impression of a Euclidean seq.xbitz wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 5:34 pm ^^^ that modulates the cutoff with a CC stream, can't see this
