the plugin has a big issue!
Sample Relocation doesnt even exist it seems. i got aware of this cause of my old projects where i moved/renamed etc. my files. drag and drop a file into Amigo and then save the project. when you now rename/delete/move your used audio file Amigo wont show you any info and is blank!
Amigo should do 2 things, show the exact samplename incl. file location it was using and offer you to locate the file.

'Contacting' sounds like you want to initiate some sort of communication. You could maybe use KVR to send him some sort of a MESSAGE. Possibly one that other people wont see, if you prefer, ie in PRIVATE.Caine123 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 9:24 amyeah fully weird. totally weird. to contact someone is not just replying on a forum. so weird, guess i dont understand the word CONTACTING. weird.

I think he mentioned ... ''you cannot even pm him''. However, his PM is enabled now.

This is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for it". Don't have high expectations for these kinds of products considering the absolute minimalist website, no contact info, no company info and the way the payment and delivery is setup.
This is why I can not recommend it at the moment. It's way too dodgy as it is right now. Go with the free option mentioned earlier in this thread if you want the amiga type sound.
As for the AKAI pitch shifting, no this is not it.
If 15 euros is burning a hole in your pocket like it was for me, then sure, why not. I skipped lunch that day anyhow.

exactly PM wasnt possible, i just checked, still cannot pm, weird again .
@bmanic:
exactly, i still pulled the plug, i hope these guys might use it for updating the plugin, if not my own fault, i need to check the free alternative. the plugin is really making fun, but as i said the sample issue is a deal breaker so i cannot recommend this plugin anymore or you keep a log/protocol for your projects.
OVerall:
guys i still cant figure something out, so you import a sample, at 22khz it sounds a lot of times kinda too clean for me, i dont mean the plugin itself!, i mean for Amiga, i played and listened to a lot of Amiga 500 soundtracks. sampling down gives me the more Amiga 500 sound. but i dunno how the guys worked in the past making the tracks. what kind of samplerate did they use?
e.g.

It is straight from 2011 4ch mod we made with a friend. Its maxing out at 27928hz on some samples, playing from A-3 (octave 3).
The instruments that need higher quality (hz) have it, the ones that do not, dont have. Drums and Bass need them. Pads not so much, depending how much you are going to move around the hz where the sample is best. It was always a trade off.
In games - especially for A500 1MB - you only have 512KB which is taken by graphics and code too, so the game music samples were usually very low hz in some cases. Not always.
Amiga's Paula is not restricted to 8bit 22khz either, can play much higher up to 57khz also 14bit.
14-bit sample rate capabilities for AGA, ECS and OCS chipsets:
The AGA Amiga 1200, Amiga 4000, and Amiga CD32 is able to do reach 57 kHz
The ECS Amiga 500+, Amiga 600 and Amiga 3000 can max out at 28 kHz
The OCS Amiga 500, Amiga 1000 and Amiga 2000 can reach 22 kHz

Speaking of Amiga audio, I a!ways liked the intro soundtrack for Shadow of the Beast. I was amazed when I went to our local computer shop (back in the day) and first checked out the game:

This sounds pretty close to the Amiga to me.
I had a 500 and 1200 back in the day and this is very reminiscent of it.
For me the pinnacle of Amiga's sound were in the Demos (Kefren's Desert Dream, Spaceballs - State of the Art)
The time stretching seems to be based on the S950's algorithm. I assume the "cyl" (cycle?) parameter is the equivalent to D-Time (Delay time) on the S950.
The S1000 had fancier time stretching capabilities.

Did you turn off Interp? It defaults to being on and the graphics make it hard to see if something is on or off. I made the buttons red and that helped.

S950 also had the same handy Reverse button, so I’m guessing you’re right.

Yeah it does. It also pitches down quite well. I have an s900 right next to me and use it all the time. This is a piece of software made for old school jungle/house heads and folks who actually use old hardware. Its much more convenient even with the bugs. Time stretch is quite good. I like what it does but I actually use the old stuff so I don’t mind the bugs right now. Sure those will get ironed out soon anyway.kraster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 12:14 pm This sounds pretty close to the Amiga to me.
