Bitwig for sure. The modulation system, the grid. Good stuff.

people act like once you've dled a daw you're restricted to using it for your whole life... try all of them. Fl is nice for loops and laying down beats fast. ableton live for live. Logic got dope vsts

NI Kore 2 is (was) one of the only hosts designed for sound design and still my overall goto for this.

That depends. I like MPC Software for SD. It´s a simple DAW today, but offers all the Basics and more - and you can quickly sample the Sound you´re just working on. The AKAI FX are worth mentioning, too. And - no complex Folder Structures and Sub-Presets and so an. It´s straight forward.
