I messed with them->
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/2oxq40
-the plug IDs are now not the same
-the LED on Redlight is easier to click
-I added host mode on Redlight MIDI learn, but I can't get it to see my Virus TI
-There is resolution on RL knobs set by shift
-Knobs snap to 0 on control click on Shiftah
Cheers
I'll look at latency compensation in Reaper soon

The other 2 lines on Redlight work,
there are volume controls for them near the signal flow arrows/parallel&series switch.
They are not inoperable
-the host mode on MIDI learn knob/slider works in RedLight, got it set up right in FL. It's the best I can do when using your knobby controller as host kb. The current d/l is fine and correct. Right click on control to learn compadres. It is needed that the controller data is routed to the MIDI in pin of the RedLight VSTfx

Hi nix808,
Redlight....
volume controls, ah right, I did wonder what the little hook and slanty lines were, thought they were part of the unusual graphics lol.
And yep, LEDs easier to click, knob resolution with shift good.
MIDI cc thing good...works here in REAPER.
I still think the resolution on the slider on the right is weird...have to drag too far to switch...not a big deal once you know.
And re the latency thing, just noticed that switching it doesn't seem to actually change it (even tho the indicator in REAPER changes).

Thanks for getting back to me here!
I'll change the line selection slider within a week
The delay compensation-
it will only work when tracking out.
If you're performing and shifting in realtime,
it cannot compensate.
So only on playback will it work.
If it isn't working on playback too, let me know and I'll have a look.
This is where we just can't go backwards in time heh!
edit- it seems my work on the flux capacitor will take all time, so I just can't see my way clear hehe
Hope you like it! It isn't perfect, but it works and could be of use imo.
The issue it has is vibrato or tremelo, don't know which is the correct term.
Anyway it's volume modulation from the cross-fades, not that the pitch is warbly/unstable. I'm using the RedLight and Shiftah in a cool patch for pitch bending my ts guitar into bari and bass

Hihoo Nick!
I've checked your Shiftah-november-version. And yes: Works
perfectly now! All knobs have their greyish colour, ctrl-click resets
and the algo is (still) excellent.
I am aiming mainly at natural vocal shifting one octave down (-12).
And this can be easily achieved with your Shiftah. Sometimes
the result is better than with melodyne or zynaptic elastique (!).
Interesting: Also extreme shiftings with modulation up to strangest
sounds are possible and can be controlled via eq. The Shiftah is
thrilling!
At the moment I don't know any further suggestions for improvement -
so far Shiftah feels fulsome and perfected. Thank you!

Re Redlight,
No worries, no urgency here, I'm just interested and happy to help by giving feedback.
Re latency compensation:
Yep, I'm aware of the live vs playback thing and not expecting time travel!
I can see that the 1000 setting is reported to REAPER. I checked this by sending the audio of track 1 (post Redlight) to track 2 then recording the OUTPUT of track 2. The recorded audio on track 2 lobs about a 1000 samples earlier than Track 1. But this recorded audio is dry + wet and still has the latency between them...both dry and wet are being compensated in tandem.
I guess I was expecting just the wet to be compensated so that during playback of say a single track with RL the wet would line up with the dry.
BTW, I can see that switching to series changes the compensation to 3000 (makes sense), but in series mode I'm not hearing any sound at all.
And yes, the warbling is the age old problem, but what I like is that RL and Shiftah are sort of polyphonic, unlike say Aegean PitchProof which is great for single lines but can't handle chords.

here is the new link to MyCo's code,
the Shiftah ==>
https://www.sendspace.com/pro/dl/mnt50y
the Redlight, well it does work and has a nice UI,
but I think I can do it better

Ohh yeah, good that you provide the current link, some peoplenix808 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 11:12 am here is the new link to MyCo's code,

might benefit!
And: Why don't you present your "Shiftah" on your "PhonicsAudio"-
website? That would complement your site and all your
fantastic VSTs. Just a suggestion ...

I really do need to update the site,
the links are so old as far as 32 & 64 bit VST3
I can raise some cool newer things too
I need to figure out how to build the site again,
it's not too hard

What happened to this fantastic plugin? Is there anywhere that it can still be downloaded? I recently lost this VST in a crash and I really loved this thing!

Haha, yes after the years the "best" pitch-shifter, namely the
nix-shifter, still deserves our attention!
long one, however. But here we go: In our historically charged
bombast songs we used the "nix-shifter". Here are three songs
of that kind:
1. We are the Voices of the Past:
we are the voices of the past
Listen to the "Sprechgesang" in latin, it comes in three places.
Here nix-shifter was used together with a multiband-compressor
and eq.
2. Utopia City:
utopia city
Here the guttural deep background voices are done with
nix-shifter - of course heavily reworked.
3. Pater Monard:
pater monard
Here some parts of the chorus are shifted down one octave
with nix shifter.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe one or the other likes a song - maybe the songs inspire
new things ... In any case, they show what you can do with the
nix-shifter.
Note: We don't just only do these kind of deep profound
bombast songs - there are easy listening things too.

After a long time again ...
But Nix: Your fantastic Nix-Shiftah is still not on your website?
Definitely a shame!
