Here is a demo for MachFive 3-patch "Muted Thai Gongs Split" - 2 multisampled muted Thai Gongs sampled with 6 velocity layers and 8 variations per sample (round robin) split across the keyboard, extended to both sides, root notes at A#2/B3 - split point at E3/F3, 96 samples altogether in this patch.

The demo is 100% MachFive using Midi controllers to modulate various things on the fly. This will also be a scripted patch.

And here is another vid with the now scripted patch "Turning Thai Gongs" - 8 gongs multisampled at 2 velocities/5x round robins, moving the gongs between the 3 mics after the initial hit - mixing normal with granular sampling:

And here is a video playing around with the now scripted patch "Singing Bowls Trio Split" - 3 differently sized singing bowls, multisampled at 3 velocities/3x round robin, split across the keyboard. As you see in the vid each bowl has a dedicated panel with lots of options to shape/micro and macro-tune/twist/modulate/animate the sounds around, on the second scripting page you'll find all the FX.

Long demo: improvising with the MachFive 3-patch "Granular Piano Snippets" - 21 keyswitchable piano snippets isolated from recordings where several performers are treating a Steinway grand, on the keys and inside the piano. Tweaking the 8 assigned Macros via Midi Controllers on the fly. 100% MachFive 3.

So the rental company just delivered two beautiful instruments, pedal timpani ranging from D1-B1 and a waterphone, I'll start sampling right away, there is so much to explore.

An ambient demo combining the first three waterphone patches - 100% waterphone sounds, 100% MachFive 3.
The percussive sounds were made by hitting the bottom of the waterphone with a soft beater, the patch has 6x round robin samples and produces some great sub-bass frequencies.

So I spent the entire day sampling the timpani - 3 pitches (D1 - G1 - B1) with 5 velocity layers and 8x round robin, the first 3 velocities played with a soft beater, the highest 2 layers with a hard beater for more punch.

Then I sampled dynamic swells - crsh./decresh 16 seconds, 2 variations, soft and hard beaters (cresh to mƒ/ƒƒ and back), 8 seconds to ƒƒ only with hard mallets.

Then I sampled glissandi moving the pedal after the hit, up and down where possible, some variations. Then I tuned the timp way down to C1 and used a big gong beater for tribal drum sounds with 8x round robin, also with rim shots. In the end I put the waterphone on the timp and played a long impro bowing the waterphone and beating the timp. When moving the timp pedal, the water inside the waterphone begins to shake and modulates with the glissandi of the timp, quite amazing.

Woaaaa, this library is huuuuuge.

I don't own Machfive, but from what I've heard it's a great sampler.

- yes, candy store is the correct analogy. On top of being a sampler M5 is also a synth (analogue, FM, wavetable), a granulator, a timestretcher - an entire sound production suite actually. Very inspiring for sure.

Will the set come with the samples used in the set. Just wondering if they'll be provided for us to play with as well. Or will it just be Machfive programs and multis?

Sorry I'm a Machfive noob, perhaps they require the samples but that would be another way of asking it.
