Oh well, that is very unfortunate to hear.
Yeah I have the same problem with the conrtoller pad lights on my mk2.

Well I really hope to hear from you soon again.

Thank you what you did so far and keep us up to date, hopefully.

Best Wishes
Thomas

Well good news folks that might want this script to move forward.

I have been in contact with Bitwig and hopefully a couple NI devs! Might get the Maschine Studio pad lighting fixed. I already started tinkering with the script again, so yehaw. :)

If all goes well, the new 1.2 Browser nav and Groups nav will be integrated into the scripts when 12. ships.

I have the Maschine Studio sitting in front of me and the Push to my left at a 45 degree angle, for myself, match made in heaven. Even when I use Maschine VST and the Push as Bitwig controller, so many options.

Yes, the problem was there is a Windows pad lighting issue and it COMPLETELY demotivated me because it was just plain unusable for me and I don't use my Mac for programming.

This is all great news!

Also, how do you normally integrate push and maschine together? Do they have specific tasks, or is it just kind of rolling with whatever happens for that song? I ask because I have both now and I'm trying to find the best bitwig workflow :D

Right now, unsure, I have never had the Studio working correctly to get in a flow. So I use machine to make beats and loops, drag into Bitwig, use the push to sequence, trigger clips.

There is movement on the NI front, they are going to check my script and see if there are driver issues on Windows, so it's finally happening. :)

I read through the thread and I didn't see any mention of the Mikro Mk1 having support for this script. Unless I'm wrong? This looks like an interesting development and I would have loved to have tried it...

Eh, yeah that is right. It would probably work if you set up a template in the controller editor using the same mappings as the MK2, you could always try that.

Hey Mike, thanks for the feedback. I tried to open the file you've created in the NI controller editor, but it doesn't recognise it. Seems the Mk11 file won't work as a Mk1 template. Bear in mind that I am also a bit dense when it comes to this sort of thing so I might be doing it wrong.

I have also been admiring your work on the push integration from afar. I am thinking about selling my mikro and going down the push route and you're making it more and more tempting. The openOSC project is also looking promising. I know that is a labour of love, but when will we see the birth of that beautiful baby into the world?

I have had another person say my templates don't work in the editor, I am thinking NI changes something and I have to update and save them from the new editor, I will check on that.

What are you talking about here? Touch4Bitwig project?

If so, I have been thinking about this project... I hear all this freaking whining about people using network apps, sometimes they work other times they don't. I was considering selling it but I don't want to support those whiners that do not understand how much work it takes to even create an app that does UI, OSC communication and the Bitwig API.

That said, I am REALLY thinking about open sourcing it and seeing if there are any others out there that would ant to contribute and/or make it just a really nice Bitwig community application.

Anyway, maybe this is not what you were talking about and I just rambled for now reason. hehe

As regards the Maschine editor I notice teh Mikro2 is a *.ncmm2 file and the Mikro1 is a *.ncmm file. So I guess that is the reason it won't work. :( I remember wondering when I bought my Maschine Mikro if there would ever be a day I would regret not ponying up for a proper one and here is that day...

And yes, I did mean the Touch4Bitwig project. It would be pretty freaking cool to have controller templates from my Andriod tablet. There is another open OSC project on the Bitwig page hence my confusion, but it isn't as complete as yours.

Anyway...keep rambling and coding. It gives producers like me the urge to buy things we don't need (like a PUSH or Maschine) to make music nobody will listen to...haha.

Ah yeah, what you are talking about is Moss's straight OSC implementation for things that can send/receive OSC messages.

In my app I use a fork I made to add thing's to Moss's OSC impl, but the actual mobile app and UI have nothing to do with Moss's OSC4Bitwig script.

HUGE thank you for this script, it is a game changer, maschine is a central production unit now because of this, we have a lot to thank you for.

I noticed a few things, but before posting a Github request I thought I'd ask a few questions here first:

1. Is it possible to bring up a VST window using maschine?
2. Is it possible to make device mode the default?
3. Is it possible to change to device mode from maschine?

4. Select + F1 never seems to do anything, am I missing something?
5. SAMPLING longpress + F4 also seems to do nothing, I read in a github request that it opens a VST window. Do I perhaps have to get a newer version of the script?

I'm on 0.1.5 of the script.

Thank you!

1-3 Check out this video, post back if you don't get the answers.

I know that is not the Studio but if it doesn't work I will check it out. This script has been on hold for about 8 months dure to a bunch of factors. I am working on Touch4Bitwig now so I myself want to get this script cleaned up now that we have the browser and groups

Right now (this month) I am extremely busy so I will just try to answer your questions but I am going to round out the Maschine code along side Touch4Bitwig dev at the same time in the coming months.
