As written earlier , the filters are as simple as can get , probaly straight out of Robert Bristow-Johnson filter cookbook + some modifications .Greenstorm33 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 2:50 pm I was kind of hoping there would be plans to include additional filter models in the turbofilter module. Adding models of famous hardware filters seems like it's in line with the design philosophy of the other "turbo" modules. I really hope this is the case as the existing filter situation unnecessarily cripples what is otherwise a very impressive synth.
Which is also the reason why they explode at high audio rate ,
Mturbofilter gives you basic building blocks but these are not adequate enough to construct a convincing analogue modelled filter .

For warm in my opinion check out ArtVera

I would like to hear other examples of warm, analog and thick.

Good info.David wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 3:17 pm From the docs here:
https://www.meldaproduction.com/doc/MSoundFactory
MSoundFactory is a modular environment, so we can freely add new modules for various methods of sampling and synthesis. Here's a list of what is planned. When it will be implemented depends on the development time and priorities of course. Feel free to post other ideas to us at info@meldaproduction.com .
Features
Virtual keyboard in the bottom, collapsible
MIDI filtering for modules, most likely based on custom expressions
Optimal microtuning - detuning each note in a chord for optimal alignment of harmonics
Custom GUIs, based on images, lower priority
Instrument browser hash-tag search
Global instrument preset browser, which would allow access not just to the devices, but their own presets, all in one place
FX and 6-out edition of MSoundFactory
Modules
Per-voice equalizer
TurboFilter (planned as a dedicated plugin too)
Sampler & Multi-sampler (current samplers are for percussion only)
Spectral synthesizer, most likely image based
Granular synthesizer
Some mentioned MSoundFactory for warm pads.
Although MSoundFactory can make warm pads, it would not be my first choice for them.
Having said that, it does excel at all kinds of interesting sounds.
Here is a plucked string sound with bell tone on the higher frequencies:

I hope this thread descends into the Sideways wine tasting scene of silly descriptive terms.Dirtgrain wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 4:17 pm Is this warm?

How about this? Is this warm (it's a pad though)?

If me posting these is getting annoying, please let me know. I'm trying to triangulate here. I've only been making electronic music since November.

Sounds great! Looking forward to your patches for MSF! Have you explored Device creation at all, I wonder (as I did for Wags)?"

It is warmer than the first sample, but will like to have others give their opinion.Dirtgrain wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 6:41 pm How about this? Is this warm (it's a pad though)?

If not please offer your own sample music that you consider warm.

Your Plucked Strings sounds great.
Dirtgrain, your sound is smooth to my ears.
Here is my contribution.
Close to Pink Floyd, sorry for the copyright.

Oh ya, ditto to PatchAdamZ on that clip. I'm thinking reverb can make something warm, but again, I don't have firm grasp on the term.
MrMagoo, very nice. I have a ton of Pink Floyd records, but I can't place that one. Is it from Meddle? If that isn't warm, then I am so lost. Very cool.

I'm hearing hints of fingernails on blackboards, a touch of bin kicking and a smidgen of banshee wailing.
