can I modulate almost everything?

Any modulation output can be linked to any modulation input.
You can convert audio to modulation (and back if you dare).
You can convert some MIDI events to modulation.

Its "Hotrod"able.
I think I've had a easier time finally learning how to use a DAW with MuLab,
because there are more options to do it your own way.
At least as far as getting a sound together.
The semi-modular aspect makes it more like clay then a wrench.
I can picture what I want to try and do, and there is at least 3 ways to do it.
And I'm not even doing it correctly, I dont know what sidechaining is.
So there is probably even more ways then 3.
But the point being is that all you need is a way that does it,
and its nice to be able to choose the way that pleases you the most to do it.

Make sure to give dragging and dropping a try.
You can open up the wavesynth Mux, and open up a folder of all the wavetables that you've collected around the internet, and just drop them into the wav window the mux, fishing around for a sound. Its got a perfectly good browser, but no browser really beats drag and drop.
