I assume it'll be polyphonic like the Odyssey and MiniKORG emulations. I'm glad it's going to have new modules. Still, where is my DSS1 emulation? Or KORG Z1?

Thanks. This is the one I have wanted the most, since I started watching Anthony Marinelli on IG and youtube.

But the most glaringly obvious thing to leap out - (2) and (3) at least aren't Korgs. They seem to be going the full Arturia.

The PS-3300 would have been a much more obvious synth to fill the place of the 2600. Still, plenty will be excited by this:

Electric Piano engine from the Kronos.
I have more interest in the Vox.

It's bizarre and makes no sense. First Korg license the MS-20 to Arturia, then they create 2 new instruments for their own collection that aren't even Korgs, and which were already in the Arturia V-Collection.

This means you need the V-Collection for the best MS-20 emulation, but the Korg collection for the best Arp 2600 (the one in Arturia's collection is a bit outdated).

That’s annoying I was hoping for a Z1. The EP and organ don’t even make sense considering KORG still have products of their own they could have added

Korg owns those two brands so it's fine I guess. But yeah I also wanted to see Z1 or DW-8000...

wow how boring.... yeah please more of the same stuff over and over... as said before by others i hope for Korg exclusive not yet available stuff like DW-8000, Trinity and so on.

Vox is a Korg brand. The 2600 is an interesting choice. I wanted more too...like that PS-3000 in software form (ha ha). I have the EP-1 in both of my Kronos' so that isn't a huge appeal. The Super Continental will see some but limited use; I am not particularly a Doors fan (curses welcomed, ha).

More correctly:

The Vox name was later sold to Rose Morris, who in turn sold it to Korg in 1992. Sure, but it's a brand owned by Korg, so they own that IP.

KORG Collection 5 with ARP 2600 Emulation coming Summer 2024
