If I can find the demo for this,
what are it's limitations?
Cheers

Can someone link me the demo installer please?
-with contribution from Tone2, I have added a poll to gauge interest

Markus from Tone2 developed the sound engine for Slayer and is responsible for the factory sounds.
The technology was licensed by reFX.
Slayer is not longer available since many years. There is no 64 bit version and no VST3 version.
Feel free to contact reFX and ask them if they can do a remake. We are open for licensing our algorithms to reFX again like we did for Vanguard2.

We do not have a support forum on kvr. Please refer to our offical location: https://www.tone2.com/faq.html

I would love a re-make
hold up I'll do an audio demo with FL
and post here
I'll contact reFX then, ta
FL Slayer is the best hard guitar instrument,
it's character is complex, the interactions of the gen's elements
I tried to buy Slayer2 second hand,
but license transfer isn't possible as per reFX policy

Slayer 2 was an absolute blast at the time it came out. Nothing could touch it for sound and capabilities. Unfortunately now it sounds a bit cheesy.
That said, I'd love an update with a more refined engine and fx. Updating the algorithms to use full double float math without estimates would probably do the trick.

I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better?

I think it still holds it's own
I mean Casio MT-40 is cheesy, but it's a still killing thing
the Slayer interface is dinky on FL
I use AAS Strum and UJAM Carbon also,
and they have different sounds/tone, can be reached for for their flavours
Slayer is my favourite, it creates the most intricate(humanised) blend of tones
for each note in my opinion, from it's complex engine
-where Strum and Carbon repeat the same thing moreso in the manual playback modes that I use
I don't mind if the sound is vastly the same if it was rebuilt

I liked Slayer 1, it has a sound. While I don't use it as much as do now, I do worry with each passing year Imageline will remove it one day from FL Studio. It's not trying to be a guitar sample library, it is fun pushing it clean no effects through the many virtual amp and cab emulators. Like a 303 it is, it's own sound. I'm down for a come back.
