I updated from 4960X/Win 7 with SATA SSD. Live 10 took around 7-8 seconds to start on it. No M.2 ports, did not want to upgrade it either.

That Live 12 speed looks fab compared to 11 :!:

I also like that Max is started as part of the splash screen now... I used to hate the fact that Live 11 would be 'ready' but then you can't do things and down in the corner is the sneaky 'starting max'.

Overall a lot of nice quality of life improvements.

Ableton live takes 11 days ,4 hours and 53 seconds to load

Can anybody clarify if this is normal ?

Asking for a friend

Live 12 loads super quick but it takes about 100yrs to scan for plugins.

Its now 64 bit - VST3 - Clap compliant - currently free while in beta - easily the fastest loading DAW to use as a scratchpad. Development is slow......

Cannot believe there is a thread on this ?😂😂😂even if live took a 2 minutes to load I would be quite happy making a brew whist it loaded and then return to my Mac to write that best track yet !
