The shithouse filter it comes with. I don't like it at all. The newer filter they added was a big improvement but I'm still not a fan of the overall tone of it. It's the perfect platform to provide a dozen different filter options but Kilohearts don't seem to have any interest in that sort of stuff.BackInCheck wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:03 pmIf you don't mind me asking: what prevents you from building your own instruments in Phase Plant? Instruments as in presets / patches?
I released a new version of my free & open-source modular synth plugin "blocks"

Just gave this new version a try. Must say I really like what you did on this. The sound is superb! I had a lot of fun testing this out!

The download from your site still segfaults on linux. I also tried building from source and got the same string of errors at the end of the build as the last time. As an example:
Code: Select all
In member function ‘setupBuffersForSampleRate’,
inlined from ‘setupBuffersForSampleRate.constprop’ at /home/sprnva/Documents/blocks/Source/vital/synthesis/effects/reverb.cpp:67:6:

Just got this thanks to Oscillop's great video - https://youtu.be/Ia7KbeHKBa0?si=x7AcBMymPwNSfZsR - and I'm not disappointed. It's almost like an alternative way to get the Vital sound, and it sounds great, thank you! I popped a simple (hopefully) suggestion into the Discord, just to be able to apply the modulators on the right to the levels on the left.

Hi!
Just wanted to pop back in and see if anyone else has issues with VERY high cpu usage with the latest version?
When I tried the 1st updated version I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Honestly I just could have overlooked it. I just dropped this newest version in a track and as soon as I hit play, the cpu meter spiked quite a bit 50-60% (waveform 13). I tried the newest version in an empty project, same result. Some patches bring the computer to its knees. My computer is aging, but I dont think I own any other vsti that spikes quite like that.
