Come to think of it, with this monitor being roughly a meter wide, you may want it curved for ergonomy.

Or you can just watch an article with a diagramGaryG wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 12:24 pm For reference, I found this a handy tool:

Lets you figure out the pixel density of a screen. I found it handy when comparing monitors, I didn't want anything with text smaller then my current FHD 24" screen so could see that a 32" QHD for instance would have the same PPI.

It's all about viewing angle and eye resolution.

Many thanks for your responses and opinions.
Thank you for the calculation link and the link for the article.
After verification, the screen model should be suitable for my use.

Indeed, I prefer the new 12k 360degree monitors myself. Of course, that means suspending the monitors above your head from fine wires...but we must adapt! If you're short on cash and 699.is all you can afford, a 42" will do if you can get the see-through foam insulation to place in front to block out the sonic reflections from your rear monitors in a 7.1 or 5.1 surround-sound set up.

Mao would enjoy a 43" screen.

I use a 42" 4k tv with Win11, using Reason and lots of vsts (Arturia, Softube, uHe, etc). It's great, the synths look almost life size. Only non scalable plugins are sometimes too small, like Melodyne. You can always change resolution when working with those.

I use two 43" 4k monitors (one at each end of my studio).
Each fits nicely between a pair of near-field monitor speakers.
Others may feel different, but I don't like curved monitors for DAW purposes.
