Drambo question

When creating a new instrument from the file menu , I noticed there are some things missing compared to the file new 8 tracks template .
- when automating a parameter , we can not go into the automation lane of said parameter , it’s unresponsove .
Same for piano roll and veloxity lanes .
We also can’t create new instruments , so as a workaround I always use template ‘8 tracks midi to cv’
Also , is there a way to save the instrument ( when using file:new instrument) and reload ?
It’s a pretty amazing piece of software
