I've been using the VSax/VHorns instruments for a big band arrangement as they're probably now the closest I've heard to actual 'moving air' ( my first instrument was actually the Cornet
)Previously I was using the Garritan JABB3 instruments, which are good, but getting on a bit.
What I was after, or at least hoping to get some tips on, was getting the other instruments (piano/bass/drums/guitar) to sound like they're in the same space as the Saxes & Horns.
Obvs extracting the IR's from the instrument packs isn't an option, neither is feeding the other instruments through the same virtual spaces.
I'm using the AB mic setup and the IRVerb 'Capital Hall' for the Saxes/Horns, which gets me the sort of sound I'm after.
Any tips?
Should I just run everything through a global reverb in Cubase instead? (and if so, what sort?)
