The focus of this game is to "just make music". Giving and receiving constructive criticism/feedback being one of the main game mechanics, with the added bonus of also being able to edit/enhance your production until the the deadline has been reached. This new game mechanic has been adapted in August 2020 and has been very well received.

Joining is absolutely free. If you can't join yourself, it would be tremendously help if you could spread the word about the Songwriting Competition. The more participants, the more interaction and feedback, the more fun.

So far we have two entries. We need about 10 to get a good starter set.

Throughout December, the Mix Challenge community collected an interesting selection of self-created sounds and samples, which are used as the sole sound source for Songwriting Competition 041 (SWC #041). Participants can mangle this material through re-sampling, modulation, wavetable synthesis or similar. No additional instrument usage is allowed. Adding vocals being the exception. The main idea is to spark creativity with access to only a limited selection of sounds.
