Hi everybody,
Thanks to Ben, the AcousModules multichannel plugins are now hosted by KVR-Audio.
I know that some people are a little bit confused with my plugs, so I hope that this forum will help to use them and promote multichannel sound in general.
All the plugins are free (but since they represent months of work, any donation is highly appreciated !) and must be considered as permanent betas.
So feel free to tell me what goes wrong and what do you whish : I will do my best...
Ah yes : since I am french and my english lessons at school are very, very far, you must be very indulgent with me and write SLOWLY...(french langage is accepted).
Before asking some question, please read :
- the Host Compatibilities Table : http://acousmodules.free.fr/compatibilites_en.htm
- the Basic Configurations : http://acousmodules.free.fr/configurations2_en.htm
- and some of these tutorials : http://acousmodules.free.fr/acousmodules7_en.htm
All subjects concerning multichannel or surround sound are welcome.
The AcousModules are made with Synthedit and are actually for Windows only.
But some of them will certainly be adapted with SonicBirth in AU and VST formats for Mac adicts in a few weeks .
Cheers !

Sure..It has a lot of deep detail
But it has also a lot of need of proper documentation !
Are you using some of them ?

I am just beginning. After I discovered your work I upgraded my computer drives so I can burn DVDs and make AC-3 files. I just converted my first stereo mix to 5.1 AC-3 yesterday. But I have no multi channel audio card yet so I can't listen to things except in stereo. I have been experimenting with graphic art videos, and I have to learn how to include AC-3 mixes when I burn DVD. I also have to learn how to mix 5.1 in an interesting way, not just file conversion from a stereo mix. I need to learn how your programs work and what each one does. I also need to decide whether to upgrade my Acid 4.0 to burn AC-3 or instead I need to figure how to run a cheaper solution, maybe with Energy XT or some other multichannel output host.acousmod wrote:Sure..It has a lot of deep detail

Good luck !
Concerning the encoders, the CD-DTS encoder from Minnetonka Audio is cheaper (and better) than the AC3 extension from Sony, but it allows 44,1 kHz only, so it doesn't suit for DVD-Video encoding.
