To be honest, as someone who owns and is very happy with almost all (no keyscape... yet) of their products, I won't be buying anything else until they patch in or properly support High-DPI monitors.
I really love Omnisphere, and whilst I'd like updates to Stylus RMX, or maybe some other cool stuff, I just want to be able to use it nicely on my 4K monitor...
My ears may be happy but my eyes are crying.

My only complaint with Omni 2 would be the limited sample import. One they allow sample imports more along the lines of Kontakt and Falcon, I will be one happy camper!

Gasp... they actually noticed this thread!! Cool.jamesbernard wrote:Interesting rumor thread...
But alas.. it is all just rumors.
First off, none of us were at Summer NAMM... so.... yeah.
Second, there is no way any of our team members would spill the beans on any product we would be working on.. for proof just remember, Keyscape was in development for 10 YEARS and not once during that time did anyone working on the project leak info about it.
It is useful to get some feedback from users to see what features they would like in any future versions of our instruments, so in that case this thread has been informative.
That being said, don't even ask me if we are working on updates for anything.. because even if I know the answer, I'm not telling.
Cheers!
Please tell Eric from us that we need an update for Stylus RMX. Vox populi.

Tagging is a huge rumbling nuisance in my view, time-consuming, pedantic and vaguely Big Brotherish
Give us a drag n drop interface like Diva or Zebra. THEN it's a breeze to create custom folders.
Also I think Omnisphere really looks prehistoric.
PLZ, Spectrasonics, get rid of that puerile washbasin blue, it's just not good enough for the best-ever softsynth
O3 needs a modern graphic like Serum or that ace blue-and-silver skin for Dune 3 (know the one?) or ANA2, something attractive and cool.

Just to say (for the 10th time probably) - I'm 100% fine in Omni's look. I don't want them to waste a second of development time changing it.
Also the solution to idiosyncratic tagging is not zero tagging, its better tagging. And I sure don't want a folder-based thing, that truly is pre-historic. Even with their many quirks and irritations, I can find my way round pretty well, sometimes I search for moods, sometimes Types, sometimes Categories... you know, how tagging works.

I actually have no issue with how Omni looks. My only issue with tagging, if there is one, is the plethora of tags available, but indeed I don't have to use all.

Yes, the ability to import multiple samples to be used in a single preset would be a vast improvement.

I too think Omnisphere looks just fine as it is. But I really don't think they should have claimed that Omni 2 is multi-touch compatible when it isn't. It is no different from any other VST and you can not touch two places at once.
I also wish that audio didn't have to be imported but could just be used where it is.

I get their rationale that its a bottomless pit and they don't want Omni to become Kontakt. And it's true, no matter what they offered, people would want more - stacking, key zones, scripting, round robins etc. But it would be awfully nice to have more than one per layer... on the expanded sound source browser there's room for 4 there, that would be better than nothing. Even though everyone would say "WOW FOUR SAMPLES HA HA". I buy their logic that sample import is for sound design work though, but just being able to range 4 samples across the keyboard for that purpose would be better than one.TheSynthScientist wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 3:27 pmYes, the ability to import multiple samples to be used in a single preset would be a vast improvement.
