Thanks a lot for the listen and feedback, appreciate it Certainly don't mind it having that early new order thing, they stood out for me a lot during my school days and still listen to them now.donkey tugger wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 3:14 pm Another good un. Definitely got that early New Order thing (not so much the sounds etc, which are more contemporary, but the chords etc) again, which is a good thing!

Thank you very much for listening and commenting. It's great to hear your thoughts and detailed feedback. Really appreciate itthejonsolo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 2:12 am Early in the track, I would have said what BONES said about the percussion. At about halfway through I got it in a different way, and loved it. Then when they dropped, I just missed them.
Overall great mood and feel to this track. Rich sounds give a solid bed. I loved some of the trailing effects at certain points in the percussion, and almost wished those effects came back in as their own synth-y percussion-y thing.
Nothing to really change. Good job.

It's impossible to please everybody. Taking advice is important, but in the end you also have to take a stand yourself. And I do not doubt that you do that. A lot comes down to taste I think the track sounds good. Very dark and "mechanic". As a instrumental track I liked it.jethrobull wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 2:47 pmThank you for taking the time to listen and comment, I appreciate it!BONES wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 1:59 pm I think the drums are far too busy and too brittle sounding (too much top end). They don't suit the rest of what's going on at all, or maybe they are too prominent in the mix (or both). The rest of it sounds great, though (otherwise I wouldn't have bothered commenting at all).
Yeah, the drums are intentionally upfront but maybe too much? Will shave some top end off them and see if that helps.
Glad you enjoyed the rest, thanks for the feedback.

Thank you so much for listening and commenting, much appreciated! I did consider extending the ending but I also like the feeling of wanting a little moreForgotten wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 2:40 am Develops nicely over the course of the piece, and the sounds are well chosen. The ending without the percussion was a nice touch, and I thought that section could have been longer.
Made me think it could have been part of a movie soundtrack, maybe as vurt said, something of a dystopian nature.

I love getting feedback on my music, good or bad. I will always try to improve on something if I think it needs it, but ultimately if I'm happy with it then it is was it is. Unless every single comment mentioned the same, specific thing then obviously there must be a problem.

Nice job with the sounds used on here, particularly the string-like pad that comes to the fore around 2:45. Some of those percussion FX tails were fantastic. There is a great sense of "movement" within this track, as if it were breathing.
Good work
