5th track from my upcoming CD "Chroma"
This one derived from the song "Time Bomb" by Lake.
Nice to finish a song on your birthday. Not only my birthday but my 42nd anniversary. 42 years ago today I wrote my first song, "Nobody Comes To My House Anymore".
I've come a long way.
Time Can't Stop Me
When you're with me
I can't think straight
Wish you could see
I feel so great
And the days
They get lost in the haze
And the hours pass like minutes
You won't get it if you're not in it
On a mission as you can see
Time can't stop me
It's been this way
Since we first met
All I can say
Is I have no regrets
Repeat Pre Chorus and Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus
Outro

"Time Can't Stop Me" has a strong melody and good contrast between the various sections.
Happy Birthday.

6th track from my upcoming CD "Chroma"
This one derived from "A Horse With No Name" by America
By Any Other Name
You came to town with a smile
But I could tell by a country mile
You had a plan baby all the same
It's a knife in the back by any other name
I knew you would come
I knew I should run
But I'll never learn
I always will get burned
Last time you came it was cards and dice
You cheated me and you didn't think twice
To you it was all fun and games
Still a knife in the back by any other name
Repeat Bridge
Repeat Verse 1
Outro

"By Any Other Name" is a well entertaining pop-song. Good composition,
indeed: The theme which introduces the song is nicely repeated. I would
place the vocals more in front by removing some reverb. Why bury the vocals
in reverb? I mean: It is good already, but your song could sound even better!

There's actually very little reverb on the vocal but I will take your suggestion under advisement. Thank you for the listen and the feedback.enroe wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 9:49 am "By Any Other Name" is a well entertaining pop-song. Good composition,

7th track from my upcoming CD "Chroma"
This one was derived from "All Over The World" by ELO. Kind of a laid back country rock tune. Kept it short. Should be singing the hook for a while after the fade. One of my better ear worms.
It Ain't Over Yet
It ain't over yet
I still got a lot more to do
It ain't over yet
Yeah man I'm looking at you
You've held me down for so long
I'm gonna kick your ass in this song
Cause it ain't over yet
Repeat
It ain't over yet
It ain't over yet
It ain't over yet
It ain't over yet
Fade Out

I listened to a few of your tracks.
Musically, its all a little too old, even for me.
Vocals are terrible. Lyrics are child like. Drums sound unrealistic. It all seems just thrown together too quickly.
I'll stop there. Just not my thing.

I am honored. After all this time you finally commented on my music. I just have two questions.thecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 9:14 pm I listened to a few of your tracks.

1. Which tracks did you listen to?
2. Are you requesting a return listen?
Thanks for the listen and feedback.

This is not the first time I've commented on your music. You responded with anger & insults previously so I didn't bother again til now.
1. The recent ones
2. No (you already left your comments)

The trick is to criticise the music, and not the artist, personally.thecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 9:19 pmThis is not the first time I've commented on your music. You responded with anger & insults previously so I didn't bother again til now.
If you go back through this thread, you'll find Steven to be perfectly gracious in accepting criticism of his music, even if the comments are very harsh. Steven hates political correctness so you'll just annoy him if you don't just say what you feel, so you don't even need to expend the effort to make your criticism constructive.
