I haven't posted anything here for quite some time. Since my last post, I've written a number of pieces, all classical. Just to re-introduce myself, I'll post my most recent work. (It's a little Bartokian) https://soundcloud.com/artlowell/dance-furioso

Damn! I've been having this problem lately for Soundcloud tracks for some websites. The tune should be findable at Soundcloud.com>Artlowell>Dance Furioso.

It's that "-1" addition to the URL that somehow gets applied. I dunno how it gets applied, but it always makes the tune unfindable. It's NOT a part of the URL. Thanks for noticing this post.

Damn! the citation actually works with that "-1" attached. I don't get it.

If you click "share" on the track's page the url that shows up is the one I posted above.

Well, OK then. I guess I've posted 2 of my more recent works. I don't understand the "share" thing. ( I guess that's a Soundcloud thing, yes?) It would have been nice if they had told us about it.

I think it's a pretty standard feature on lots of sites, used for sharing on social media ... looks like you've sussed it out (i spotted your new thread).

Post

I never clicked on it before, and I've posted lots of tunes successfully in the past. I suppose it's something I'll have to get used to. Thanks.

Well, no wonder. Soundcloud made this feature to be a secret! https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/ar ... SoundCloud

Very enjoyable listen. Composition sounds great to me. Reminds me of a lot of film and TV scores from the 60's (Psycho, West Side Story & Planet Of The Apes come to mind) ... the hard panning is a little extreme inmo, and there's some distortion going on during the loud section just after the 3 minute mark.

Post

Thanks for listening, anyway. I only noticed the West Side Story similarities after I had already written it. (I didn't much appreciate a lot of Bernstein's music, except for West Side Story).
