1) I already admitted to being wrong and apologized for that, although - to my defense - it only gets to that 15-25% in a busy MIDI pattern and this is a polyphonic patch, which I wouldn't use in a busy pattern or have disabled the polyphony before using it like that.

2) I'm not defending the synth! I'm just sharing my experience and I never for a second thought of PP as being CPU hungry. When I first got my hands on it I managed to create a project with around 10 tracks with all the sounds from PP - most of them dranched with FX - and it was running fine on a measly Surface Pro 4, that could barely run two instances of Spire or Diva. I also don't recall other people saying it's CPU intensive considering what it can do (mostly I'm referring to audio-rate modulation).

3) We don't know anything about your setup, other than you have a fancy i9-9900x CPU. For all I know you're running it in power saving mode with 32bit/192kHz buffer...

What power mode are you running?
The powermode is on high performance. The CPU runs on 4,5Ghz (water cooled with 36°C - 40°C).
Everything works fine here even the CPU hungy VPS Avenger.

Phaseplant didn't.

But we don't need to follow this discussion any longer.
My main critics was that the sound of the synth, especially the extra effects, soudning cheap to me and this has nothing to do with the settings of my computer. The cpu problem is just a second problem i mentioned when i tried that bassline preset.

I have a normal buffersize 512 samples (24.2ms) which works fine here.
Intel I9 9900X / Asus Prime X299-A / 32 GB DDR 4 / NVidia Geforce RTX 2080 / Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 / Win 10 Pro 64 Bit / Ableton Live 11 64bit / Reason 11

Ok, no problem. I just checked it on mine with a fast triggering of the preset and I get 8%. I tend to like Phase Plant, but then the sound is great for the genre I make. It's all good.

Gave it a go and it is amazing.

It's awesome. And you kinda need more than five minutes to form a valid opinion... lol

Here's a good intro tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsJTvSB4Bfo&t=2s

And part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43zcBeN-x9U&t=2311s

I'm addicted. It's a sound design playground. Not for everyone, but if it is your kinda thing, you're gonna love it.

Phase Plant is probably my primary synth now. At least for playing around.
Its almost perfect.
I still want MSEGS pretty bad. But its a playground. I am more tempted every day to dive into the whole snap in pack, but that is where I am forced to acknowledge the economics of it....
And fwiw there is nothing Ive found in this using 50% of my i7 5820...

Whoa... a huge collection of Phase Plant tutorials has been published by "Composing Gloves". Will have to check these out.

Would love it if granular was added :)

They mentioned in one of their AMAs that they're looking at that!

For now, you can do a kind of pseudo-granular effect by automating sample start and loop points. it's not really granular but it is really cool. :-)

Here's a tutorial on that... again, it's not true granular but it is neat.

Thanks for this man, looks really interesting.
I’m loving Phase Plant.

The free LFO needs to go ultra slow.
And, longer max 'delay' time on Envelopes.
And MSEGs. :)

Pretty sure they're gonna get to this kinda stuff... saw they have a massive feature request list they're working on. :)

That is great news.
This thing is going to be the synth to beat, and that is gonna sell a lot of the snap ins.

Oh, one more wish- The random mod needs some more options.
I think if it just had a phase option it might be perfect.
It would be cool if zeroing the chaos knob re-seeded the randomness, but with phase that might not really be necessary.

Really tho..
Its a friggin playground.
