Yup, the cello we did with bigcat a few years ago got a big sister. Same cellist, same cello, but a whole lot more samples, and a very wide variety of articulations including wild and noisy ones.
Get it here for just $19 until September 1. After that, it's $59.

I've been searching everywhere to find the perfect lead for my Hardstyle Balkan Jazz Band, and here it is! That Cello Synth is genius

A small update, because some people didn't think the retro pixel graphics fit the sounds, there's now two GUIs to choose from.
You're the best kind of customer, and this time you won't have to wait as long. After a few releases, it's starting to seem like two weeks is the perfect length for an intro price period.sleepcircle wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 12:00 am i will buy it when it comes off of sale as per usual wink wink
I've been slowly working on this kind of stuff for years, since Cowsynth. And that was really just a "eh, these bagpipes aren't really the Great Highland bagpipes everybody wants and the samples aren't terribly long and the tuning is funny, I wonder if I can find some other good use for them" moment. Then later I realized that Sforzando can easily randomize vibrato for each unison voice independently (probably when working on War Tuba and realizing the two mics got out of sync and started sounding like two instruments), and now I finally got samples that will make a bright, powerful supersaw lead.

And a new demo, showing off the synth side of things in addition to the cello side.

Thanks. That's actually a useful piece of information to me - when working on stuff, it's hard to tell whether everybody just wants a cello to be a cello, or whether the synth does add significant appeal for some people.

I do like it mainly for the cello sounds: it's a bit "niche", but there are sounds/articulations you never hear in the other libraries. The synth patches sound pretty organic and cinematic, so they are useful on their own. Good luck with your endeavors.

Yeah, that makes sense that the cello sounds are the main appeal; they took maybe 100 hours of work, and making the synth out of them was maybe 10 hours of extra work, mostly to make the colle single-cycle waves, tweak the filter and do the GUI, so if the synth adds some appeal, that's good.
This is selling really well so far, even better than Secret Agent Guitar. I really appreciate this, and have even started actually practicing tremolo bowing, so I can eventually sample my bass in a similar manner, once I finish a couple of other already recorded libraries. I've never really needed to play tremolo in real life, so never practiced it, so I'm terrible.
And intro price ends Monday morning - things then go up to $59. So this is the last wekeend to get it cheap!

Full price is now in effect, so the "you deserve full price" squad can now get the cello, too.

And full price no longer in effect until the end of April, it's $39 until then.
This has gotten a major update. We recorded true spiccato, ghost spiccato, ghost jete and spectral scrub articulations (previously spiccato was emulated from jete note starts and staccato tails). We added layering patches like the other Vengeful strings (so you can layer, say, jete note starts and staccato tails, or any of hundreds of other combinations). The synth-style patch got totally redone. The old one is still there as the legacy cyborg, and there's also a new cyborg, with a few new modulations and a whole lot of new choices for the waveform oscillators, including samples from all four Vengeful members of the string family, my old Ergo electric upright bass, and a kemence.
Updated walkthrough covering all the strings.

Oh, and the new version is a free update to everybody who's bought the original... tried to send a link to everybody, but if you didn't get it or it got eaten by spam filters or whatever, DM me or email samples@karoryfer.com and I'll send you a new one.
