Put "(Demo)" at the end of every track name and that makes up for any imperfections.

I'm going to give a serious answer (and ask my fellow kvr members to forgive me for engaging in such uncharacteristic folly).
Subtractive equalization. Cut the unnecessary frequencies from each track, especially the bass heavy instruments. Voila. Your mix will instantly suck at least 5% less.
After that, you're on your own.
