Just tried it and it's ok. I'll grab it eventually. However it took me quite some time to get anything I liked out of it (likely just a learning curve), whereas Clouds I find impossible to make a bad sound with. After Grainspace I opened Clouds again and within 30 seconds I had a loop I rendered out.Mushy Mushy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 1:10 pmThanks for that, I'll check it outSLiC wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 12:55 pm If you want clouds in a DAW you could just go for this - https://www.audiority.com/shop/grainspace/
Sounds as good as clouds to me (I have the hardware) and in many ways is better!

I never tried hardware Clouds, I think because when I got started in Eurorack I was tired of granular in software for whatever reason.
(And then I continued to avoid Clouds just out of obstinance. But I do have two Rings, I eventually got a Maths, and I have a cat, so I can still be part of the Eurorack club. )
Anyway, I thought Rings sounded just a bit different in VCVRack than in hardware, so it wouldn't surprise me if there's some subtle difference with Clouds also.
