Tossohs with your boring stratocasters etc. Have you never had the yearning for a totally impractical guitar? If it was in Fiesta Red I'd be snapping it up.

You could pick up one of David Gilmour's guitars going up for auction in June:

Maybe a Strat or two?

Thanks, I'm always on the lookout for things I can put to use in my lobbying for legalization.donkey tugger wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 5:44 pm I'm sure this will interest some round here;

I was looking forward to playing my 'next' guitar today, but that didn't work out.
A "The Asama" guitar, see attached stock picture.
IIRC "asama" means "nice butt"
It's my first electric guitar, my only one for approx. 25 years. Got it second hand when I was 16 approx., it was cheap for the time. It's a Japanese guitar with through-body neck. Lovely wood, thick layer of lacquer, humbuckers. Got some gig action back in the day.
One of the humbuckers got loose after many years, kept getting loose until I lost the springs and screws. I ended up duct taping it on. At one point I lent it to a guy who stuck some stickers on it, and damaged it slightly here and there. In the end I bought my Ibanez Artstar and played that instead (once a year or so, or whenever I wanted to add some guitar to a Cubase project).
Recently I looked up a luthier to fix my new flamenco acoustic guitar's action, and I figured now's the time to restore my faithful old Asama. Got it back yesterday, but the element protruded too far from the body, and when I tried to screw it down, it became clear one of the screws is too short. Of course the ironware shop didn't have those in stock, so no play today. I did clean the duct tape and sticker glue off, and now my home reeks of dissolvent, despite thorough airing.

It looks similar to Hink's Daion I had a similar instrument in the 80's and 90's it was a Washburn Falcon https://reverb.com/item/18479546-washbu ... w.ds&pla=1
After reading your post much of your earlier posts in this thread make sense to me now.
My posts on the other hand would make little to no sense to you.

Froggy, Vintage Martin or possibly a large body Brazilian luthier build.
