I think it would be better if step sequencer turned off auto inserted on first line of rack when u create racks or right clicking on line of rack and choosing insert step sequencer

I was tempted to select the option where I'd like to know what I think, then I thought about it and I like it!
Think there's room for improvement tho. No time at present.

Crazy idea, why would you want one on every rack, why don't you just set it up as a rack preset if that's what you need

Minimal time spend, comfortability,it makes daw to be similiar to fl studio u momentally interact with step sequencer,i think step sequencer should not hide in holes,it should be clear visible to eyes .

Maybe crazy was too harsh, I hear what you are saying but not everyone wants or needs one every time a new rack is opened

Is there a way for a person to create their own 'default' rack (with plugs loaded)?

Thats a great suggestion. I think its the fact that step sequencer has to be added directly to the main event input same as that of the poly synth, only for it to then go out in the poly synth can be a bit confusing.
But as I have used both step sequencer and sequence player, they are usually used for arps, percussions or rarely on kicks. So a better alternative would be a Basic Synth rack with an existing panel for both Step and Sequence player so that the user can load it multiple times and customize each one rather than having to add a sequence player everytime
Ive made such a tool called *SHVM*, it is on the mulib and is a poly synth with a bunch of basic effects and a seqencer.
Ive made such a tool for percussion , included in my project *Visions of Io*, i will make a video on it as well.
Hope this brings some sense to the topic

Yes, see http://mutools.com/info/docs/mux/rack.html
When creating a new rack and you have created a New.MuRack preset file in the User/Library/Rack sub-folder, then that preset file will be automatically used as a template for the new rack.

People drag and drops instruments from browser panel to left panel, they do not use long way adding rack in mixer panel then dropping here instrument, then dragging and dropping instrument on left panel for its work. They only create rack in mixer panel only for sends, receives.Method i said acts as ghost rack they replace step sequencer with mux effects if they want do not use step,if want then keep step in rack.Best idea that have made in history of daws,i make idea well knowing mulab structure, consider what is best option for this structure, make idea for not taking long time for joe to work on codesJimp_music wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 4:21 amThats a great suggestion.
