I wanted to give this one a run, but according to its website, it won't work on Reaktor Player. You need th full version.

I have all the other Blinksonic ensembles except this one. They definitely sound good. I found that the CPU usage per instance was maybe a bit on the high side but, there is a lot going on. Like nachenko said, you need the full Reaktor, not player

Hey folks! Any new Cataliz users around? If yes, how do you like it? How would you compare it to the other granular synths around? I’m asking cause still, there are no real reviews or tutorial videos anywhere. The only ones are preset tours, which doesn’t show at all the true potential of the synth. It seems to hold some solid sound design potential but at that price without any demo or videos, it’s a wild random guess.
What do you think ?
Thanks!

It's an incredibly well thought out and implemented instrument, and definitely not like any other granular on the market. Every control in the UI has hover info and you can even load your own samples.
If you want a taste of how well done his instruments are, there's a free effects rack here:

Still very hesitant to buy a bit blindly especially since it's quite expensive, without having a real tour of Cataliz and not just a preset show.

Wow, you weren't kidding, usually Youtube has tons of videos on the most obscure things but only a handful on Cataliz. This was really the only long "hands-on-ish" video I could find:

Strange isn’t? Especially since it seems like a very powerful sound design and mangling tool. I have the feeling the price for a Reaktor ensemble is psychological factor on why it’s not very popular...ztrauq wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 7:13 am Wow, you weren't kidding, usually Youtube has tons of videos on the most obscure things but only a handful on Cataliz. Hi
Definitely a nice looker.
A lot of Reaktor stuff leaves me feeling that you could pick out an evolving preset and run with it for 1-30 mins (render it of course), follow same procedure x 4-12 times and you have an album.
Yes, Thomas Tjerkins does this and is on his 15th album - he may not be rich but it keeps the bong topped up...

I'll probably grab Cataliz when it's %-off sometime during the year as Blinksonic seems to offer discounts here and there. And I will keep you guys posted in this thread if I do with my impressions and pros-cons once I get it. Meanwhile, don't hesitate to share if you have feedback on it
