You should grow the hell up and learn how men speak to one another.Hewitt Huntwork wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 2:42 amI'm not sure what to say except I'd rather be guilty of having named a song and not the artist than be guilty of calling someone here an idiot and then having the gall to invoke "common courtesy". You should be ashamed of yourself.

Sounds like Andy Summers was using a little bit of chorus on that one.telecode wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 2:25 pm (back in the time when kick ass bands and musicians existed)

Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Best song without a chorus? Based on some of your "definitions" of what a chorus is, pretty pointless to even bother answering.
I think some of you need to go back to school and take some music theory.
Songs that are in AAB form, or AAA form do NOT have choruses, regardless of how much you want to pretend they do.
And as much as I'd love to give everybody a lesson in music theory, I'm having such a rotten day that I honestly don't give a crap enough to waste my time.
So here is my favorite non chorus song. Bob Dylan was the master of the AAA form of writing. He told novels in his songs.
Can't find a decent version of this at Youtube (must be copyright crap) so you'll have to settle for Vimeo

Pretty much every great post rock song lacks a chorus, that's pretty intrinsic to the genre. If you want to go back to its psychedelic roots there's always https://youtu.be/ikMAH7k3pz4
For a good music homework exercise I suggest comparing and contrasting with

There must be some kind of way outta here
Said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief
Business men, they drink my wine
Plowman dig my earth
None were level on the mind
Nobody up at his word
Hey, hey
No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke
But, uh, but you and I, we've been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us stop talkin' falsely now
The hour's getting late, hey
All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Barefoot servants, too
Outside in the cold distance
A wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching
And the wind began to howl
Yup, no chorus
--After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.
