The Clips are great with the round corners. The Notes.... no so much...

Hi Jo, I have a question regards the step seq, not just with M8 but it has been in M7 too. For instance, if I change the start/stop mode in Options, Auto Transpose and Arpeggiator Mode become inactive unless you close/re-open the Seq window. Is this how it is meant to be or can it be changed before M8 is released ?

In the next M8.0.45 the note events will use straight corners when the notes have a small height.

I do not know if it can come in handy but maybe you can insert a triangle that indicates the possibility of fading for the various segmented audio file

There indeed was a little bug there, that's fixed in the next M8.0.45, available soon.
I've also extended the M8 docs wrt the Step Sequencer.

Great stuff, as always, thanks :tu:

M8.0.45 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/m8/

What's changed:
  • Applied a subtle improvement to the spectral stretching algorithm, especially wrt the very end of the stretched section.
  • Sampler displays: When [Alt]+click = Monitor inside the played region the played region is monitored.
  • Sampler displays: The play cursor could stop a bit before the end of the played region. Fixed.
  • In the sequence editor, note events are only drawn with rounded corners when they're high enough.
  • Step Sequencer: When enabling "Pattern Notes = Select & Play" the Auto Transpose or any Arpergiator fields are disabled as these modes are not compatible with eachother. But upon re-opening the Step Sequencer editor, these Auto Transpose or any Arpergiator fields were enabled again which was not correct. Fixed.
How to update:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

Thanks! To avoid confusion: M8 is not yet released, it's in public beta. Official release in a couple of weeks.

I noticed that when you go to do several operations with MuLab, then you create several "Log" files inside the folder itself. Is there a way to create a single "Log" file that updates or rewrites within the same file? Thank you.

Post

Normally there only is one single log file per MuLab session.
