It depends on the settings, try it out, I'm pretty sure you'll like it whether you are looking for the "big" stereo or some chorusey/phasy stuff (with dry/wet).

Demoed this for three minutes, just running a solo cello line through it, immediately started nodding. This is because I have a nervous condition which sometimes makes me nod for no reason. When this passed I continued nodding, because just scrolling through presets it sounds so instantly good. Bought it. Insane not too at this price. I also have MUnison, Soundtoys' Microshift, a few others including that decorative freebie Izotope came out with recently. This is different and really good. Well done

Is it me or does that Izotope Doubler suck. It sounds like a bad Chorus plugin. No wonder they gave it out free and it consumes more CPU then alot of my reverbs.

The free one? It's a light version of what comes with nectar.
Haven't yet tried MDoubleTracker but out of all doubletrackers i prefer the iZotopes the most.
The Nectar version is more flexible tho.

Hi Guys
I have
With Melda coming out with MDoubletracker I decided to take all my doubler plugins for a spin. You´ll find results here if you´re curious of how it fares against the rest (hint - it´s great). https://groovetools.blogspot.com/2019/0 ... ugins.html

Thanks, definitely a fan of doubletracker in the samples, microshift is pretty nice too though but sounds more subtlemixtur.se wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 12:33 am Hi Guys

I agree re the free one. Looks cool, doesn't sound so good. Unusual imho as I have a numer of of their plugs and generally I rate them quite highly, both DSP-wise and GUI-wise. I have Nectar 1 elements and Nectar 2 full, and just grabbed Nectar 3 elements on a no-brainer deal (£29, stillongoing I think); haven't played with it yet but saw nothing in the specs about a doubler.

Update ... recently I used this as an afterthought on both a podcast voiceover and lead guitar in a busy mix. Didn't bother with presets or dialling anything in myself. Instead I just clicked the randomize button 3-5 times and boom, wow, yes, thank you, that's it, the thing I didn't know I was missing, but now cannot live without, quick, press save! Highly recommended.
