So korg gadget is coming to windows now (inlcuding KORG Module, iM1, iWAVESTATION, ARP ODYSSEi and iMono/Poly versions!)

Didn’t see a thread about this, hope I didn’t miss it. This isn’t a replacement for the legacy collection is it? I’ve never really used it. Seems fun though, a whole bunch of simple little synths and things. And apparently the gadgets will work as plugins. Could be cool.

Wonder how it will work on touch devices like Surface Pro?
EDIT:
Oh, it's just the gadgets (instruments) and not the whole DAW

All those little gadgets are specialists for a particular kind of sound and the interface worked great for touch screen devices. Which is why, I am slightly disappointed that the stand-alone DAW will not be available for Windows.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 3:49 pm Didn’t see a thread about this, hope I didn’t miss it. Can't say I really care about the sequencer as I already have a DAW that I like.
But also, the mac version says that the Gadget plugins it comes with KORG Module, iM1, iWAVESTATION, ARP ODYSSEi and iMono/Poly, which effectively means that those now have windows versions with better, bigger GUIs! So that's kinda big news isn't it? I'm not sure if they mean the cut down version like Kensington etc. The way they word it is that it includes the iOS version, which are the full synths. I dunno.

I haven't checked into the Gadget versions for iOS, but hopefully they have as many (or more) features than the KLC versions do. I am looking forward to that improvement you mentioned about for the displays.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:25 am Can't say I really care about the sequencer as I already have a DAW that I like.

I'm not sure Korg is aware we owners of Legacy do exist. All their efforts in software are iOS and Gadget stuff.

What is the point/reason for the 'i' version for Windows when we already have the KLC? I use its just the other modules you find in iOS, which are fun and all in iOS but I cant say I would be interested in running them in my DAW when we have the entire VSTi world to choose from....
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S49MK2, S1, BWS, Live . PUSH 3 SA, Osmose, Summit, Pro3, Prophet8, Syntakt, Digitone, Drumlogue, OP1-F, MPC Live II, Tracker Mini, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Nord Drum3P, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

There wouldn’t be much point for the odyssey but the m1 and rave station have pretty tiny GUIs and need new ones. The i version have better interfaces.SLiC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:27 pm What is the point/reason for the 'i' version for Windows when we already have the KLC? Something mentioned from Korg :
I guess it means you can't use the gadget plugins outside of your DAW, unlike Korg Legacy plugins. Gadget and Legacy are 2 separate product lines anyway.*3 The standalone version is not included. Only the Mac/PC plugins are included in this package.

I like my own DAW too but the sequencer would have been nice to have on my tablet laptop.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Wed Jan 23, 2019 1:25 am Can't say I really care about the sequencer as I already have a DAW that I like.

Why should we? Haven't you got your money's worth out of KLC already? I sure have.

If they release their plugs with resizable gui for windows, i might check that once,
but they waited too long with this. Years ago I 've sold my M1 plugin, and never looked back.
For me the upcoming Rob Papen synth is much more interesting.
