Atlantis is right up there in my favourite synth GUI design on one page.
Particularly love the way range settings are done per slider for modulation.
KVR - the many headed beast.

Absolutely agree. A real pleasure to use and encourages experimentation.

I keep hearing this question but it does not make sense to me. Why would you want 64 bit audio host/plugins? Bandwidth and CPU costs add up to lower performance than 32 bit. Is there an actual benefit I am unaware of?
sinkmusic wrote: Mon Dec 10, 2018 10:01 pm Any plans for new projects ?
I've been working on a game, some info at skullheadworld.com. Skullheadworld has full realtime synthesis for audio, and the music is improvised realtime based off of what is happening in the game. I did port most of the synthesizer to vst, very different than Atlantis... generic UI, adsr envelopes, mono osc, fire and forget as it's all designed for speed.

Not really.

I agree, there is not really any valid technical reason to deal with the giant pain in the ass of porting the whole thing to a new compiler and set of libraries. There is a social reason, which would be "but I want to use it in Ableton 10" or whatever.

Cubase doesn't support 32 bit any more, so you're losing out on owners of that DAW for a start. The built in bridge is useless, before anyone asks.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Thanks Jeremy for updating Atlantis! One of my favorite 'press the random button synth/fx and see what happens'

No. I meant it doesn't really add to CPU requirements, or performs worse.

Did you sleep the last 15 years? Everything is 64-bit now. Whether or not you want to update your ancient soft synth is totally up to you, of course.

You, friend, are a bit of an asshole. Regardless, I do have a 64 bit build, through no thanks to Charlie Steinberg who used long in the place of pointer, integer, unsigned integer, pretty much any 32 bit value. I'll need some suckers to test it, however, as it assuredly will have some growing pains.

Hi Jeremy.

Glad you are still working on Atlantis. Great synth that. Will you at some point maybe make the envelopes a bit easier to work with? I find it a bit difficult to move the 'nodes' or 'points' for the attack, decay and release. Its a bit small, but that is mostly because of my near-sight-ness. It isnt a deal breaker nor a criticism. Just an idea for a future update perhaps?

Cheers.

I agree with you. The fancy envelopes in Atlantis are my least favorite thing about it. Sure you can get funky but they are finicky to work with for sure. I secretly prefer ye olde ADSR these days, that's what I run in skullhead.

ENV1 made a sweet skin that makes the envelopes a lot bigger and easier to deal with: http://www.vstskins.com/skins/jeremy-ev ... -saturn-xi

Let me know if that skin does not work for you, it's working in my 'modern compiler' bastard monster build, but didn't seem to work in an older build when i was a/b testing.
