If you encounter Linux-specific issues, please don't hesitate to post them here!

Thank you Urs :)

At first glance, I've tried basically all the parameters from the GUI and the plugin, and opening/closing it in a few ways, I haven't noticed anything funky yet.

Why are the Breath, Pitch Bend, etc. available as parameters for Channels 1-16?

No idea... is that a VST3 thing maybe?

Post

If it is with vst3, it is the only way to receive those midi expression in the plugin.

Post

Yes, I almost always use the VST3 version of these plugins as they seem to work better for me. I only noticed it here when specifically testing changing them through the host, and there's not that many so I quickly found that long list of parameters.

Second that. Great performance in BWS 2.3.5.

And I was so hoping to clear my credit card this month... :?

Thanks again and again for the Linux support !

Best,

To support the Linux ports, I've just bought it without even testing :)

Knowing the quality of the rest of the plugins, I'm sure I'll enjoy it!

Thanks,

Twangstrom sounds good and is working well for me (no issues) within BWS 2.4.3. I definitely intend to get a licence here soon.
Thanks for a Linux build on day 1 of public beta!

Version 8088 UI crashes Bitwig Big Time. After killing the dead Bitwig, restarting jackd (for good measure) and recovering the project, Twangström works as far as audio is concerned. The controls are available in the corresponding Bitwig device. It sounds very good. But as soon as the UI is brought up, crash !

Linux Mint 18 KDE
Bitwig 2.4.3

OK, so your steps are
- re-open project using Twanstrom
- Open GUI
- Crash?

I have 2 Twangstroms in Bitwig 8Track V 2.4
(Not the newest 2.4.3) and they seem fine,
minimize/maximize, click-to-front, controls
all working

Mint18 nvidia 9400pcie video card
Enlightenment system gui
kernel 4.4
intel i7 2600 cpu
maudio pci audio card

xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:1.0.12-1build2

libvdpau1 1.1.1-3ubuntu1

1) Create new directory seen by the DAW
/B3/Plugins/Test/Twangstrom

2) Unarchive the distribution file in a temp directory and move the contents of:

~/Downloads/temp/Twangstrom-8088/Twangstrom/

Into that new directory.

3) In Bitwig, load the ACE synth on an instrument track, then double-click on the new Twangstrom to add it to that track. Bitwig automatically shows the UI of a new plugin.

4) Crash !

5) killall bitwig-studio

6) restart jackd

7) Restart Bitwig, "load crashed project ?" Yes.

Eight) Play some ACE and hear the nice Twangstrom reverb. In the corresponding Bitwig device shown in the Bitwig device bar, fiddle with some Twangstrom parameters knobs, hear the nice reverb.

9) Click to bring up the Twangstrom UI

10) Crash ! (no debug report was sent to Bitwig)

11) Rinse and repeat.

LM 18 KDE
Bitwig 2.4.3
Linux 4.4.0-72-lowlatency
M-Audio 1010LT

Hive 1.2.0 runs very well.

libjack-jackd2-0:amd64
1.9.10+20150825git1ed50c92~dfsg-1ubuntu1

libvdpau1:amd64
1.1.1-3ubuntu1

(I'm sorry KVR does not seem to offer the 'place inline' option anymore for attached pictures which makes it impossible to order them sequentially, or maybe it is based on the which picture file is uploaded first, anyways here they are)
