It is our first true analog synth (a paradigm shift for us), sounds great, has a lot of features for the price, and has already been very well-received. I know not every product is for everybody, so hopefully we hit a home run for you in the future with another offering.

There was some misunderstanding where some thought UNO Synth was basically quite like a small analog bass synth so I'll likely post the many points of how that is not that case soon if interested.

What are people basing "it sounds good" on?

First hardware synth that I'm actually considering. It sounds fantastic and at a great price.

Seems like a fun little box for 200€
Does the text get translated automatically? It is all in Portuguese here, which is extremely rare in this industry :hihi:

Experience. Yes and the audio demos.

Something else people are basing sound quality judgments upon. In this case "fantastic" but I didn't want to offend any sensitivities to certain adjectives so I stuck with "good" and let the people and the product make an impact. Which UNO Synth is doing even before the doors open at Superbooth.

Made in Italy, not China, cool :tu:

We have an IK representative in Brazil who translates our web pages. Currently we have native speakers translating pages and we cover English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Russian. I'm glad we are able to translate into your preferred language.

Bacana :tu:

When it is 100 analog, how can it have a value display and presets? 8) Or are the 128 steps of the display and control resolution just rounded values?

Post

100% analog signal path doesn't mean it only has analog circuits throughout.

I'll wait for the first one opening UNO and deconstructing its circuits. Just want to see what parts are build into it. I mean, they had to save money building it so they can sell it cheap.

Soundwise so far I'm pretty unimpressed from the demos I heard

MrWildBunnycat wrote:Another thing I noticed in the soundcloud demos is some sort of audio artifact always present in each demo - kind of like a low sample rate artifact, especially noticeable in the short decay demos. Don't know if it's just a bad recording or an actual artifact of the synth, it doesn't sound pleasant.
I also hear something, not sure we mean the same thing. What I mean is a high-pitched spring kind of sound, when a key is released. On audio example 42 it is easy to hear.
But maybe it is an effect. That synth sounds so dirty, it is hard to say what is intended and what not :hihi:

Oh great. Compressed audio demos for an analog synth. Top of the game.
