Yo,
Here's a preset bank converter which can take MIDI SysEx or bank data in .wav audio files from a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5* and make a bunch of h2p preset for use with Repro-5.
P5ToR5Converter_2017_12_18_MacAndWin.zip
This is a little bit work in progress (beta), but our tests show that the presets converted sound pretty identical to what our Prophet-5 sounds like. Instructions are provided in a little ReadMe.
Enjoy,
- Urs

Many thanks. Just downloaded and will check it ASAP. I want to convert a commercial Prophet 5 Sysex bank i bought a while ago for using it in Arturia Prophet V (with the Sysex import).
UPDATE:
Just imported the two Sysex files of the commercial Prophet 5 Rev3 bank (overall 80 patches) and the conversion seemed to work. Currently i am checking the patches in Repro-5.

Hey Urs! A small feature request!
Can you make the file matching on Converter.py case insensitive? Working on Mac with .SYX files and the converter doesn't recognize them. (Ok, I just renamed them, but it's a small glitch that can be solved on converter itself).

Did you just straight up convert the patches, or did you tweak them to sound closer to Synthmania demos? Also, tagging?
Also, author should probably be set to "John Bowen", since he did the factory patches AFAIK.

Only bank one. Which is why we tagged him that way in our own conversions.EvilDragon wrote:Also, author should probably be set to "John Bowen", since he did the factory patches AFAIK.

Here again a video demonstrating the "range of correctness" for the factory presets (first bank):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvcF0fb8W80
In our (informal) listening test we think we're well within the margins of difference displayed by these two Prophet-5s.

It's not ok to have two P5, one is enough. I'll take the other one
