That´s a real biggie for me...
I have a lot of rx2 libraries... that´s still the very best format for drum and percussion loops... no timestretch or "normal" slicing can reach it´s quality...
Would really like to see it´s supported in Bitwig...

Of course there are some VSTi´s dedicated to work with rex files... but I really like to work with the native browser and timeline... it´s always a few steps faster and easier for my workflow...codec17 wrote:Maybe this one will do the trick? Windows only btw.

And honestly... are you aware of an up to date DAW that lacks of rex support other than Bitwig????
I know, they want to do some things different, but this is really not the way to go (... for me... )

It's just a filetype to be processed inside of bitwig, so available anywhere.VariKusBrainZ wrote:If it isnt available on Linux then its not going to happen

But it has to use the rex shared library and this isn´t available for linux....maki wrote:It's just a filetype to be processed inside of bitwig, so available anywhere.VariKusBrainZ wrote:If it isnt available on Linux then its not going to happen
F*ck linux... what does it interest me... I am on Windows... and on Windows it´s available...VariKusBrainZ wrote:If it isnt available on Linux then its not going to happen
But you´re right... can be the problem, that they don´t have implemented it...
If so... I don´t really understand... they have to build different versions anyway, why don´t support things which are available and leave it where it is not available...

They wont implement anything that cant be supported across all the platforms Bitwig runs on, which includes linux.Trancit wrote:But it has to use the rex shared library and this isn´t available for linux....maki wrote:It's just a filetype to be processed inside of bitwig, so available anywhere.VariKusBrainZ wrote:If it isnt available on Linux then its not going to happen

This is probably why they still havent licenced a decent timstretch algo, besides costs and guaranteed long term availability of said licenced algo

They implemented touch support for Windows even though it is not there for Mac...VariKusBrainZ wrote:They wont implement anything that cant be supported across all the platforms Bitwig runs on, which includes linux.
