Hey Yellukhan!
Thanks for providing me with the zip file versions! Very nice work you have done. I would love to know were I could get midi like that and do some conversions as well. I am looking for other midi that would support more than just strings, but, also horns, etc. I guess phrases that would compliment string phrases. I think building a robust library is important.
As an example, I have found this site that has classical midi files for download.. http://www.mfiles.co.uk/classical-midi.htm I guess these could be used in some way..
As of this post, I have had RC for just a few hours.. so, I know I have a lot of video watching ahead of me.. lol

To find such awesome MIDI phrases, no hesitation! There is a small number of brands which are really good in these tools much more made for real composers (even amateurs) than for single DJ's accustomed to align loops of samples! My preferred first of all is:
- Equinox Sounds which is a great choice for that kind of big MIDI libraries of short but beautiful phrases, especially the huge collection dedicated to Chillout music (the first entry in the general menu at the top of their pages). I have all this Chillout collection, comprehensive.
- Nano Musik Loops. I have a dozen of them and keep on buying one or two every month, taking profit of the momentary discounts.
- Symphonic Series Vol 1: Classic Cartoons
- Symphonic Series Vol 2: Arabian Adventures 1
- Symphonic Series Vol 3: Epic Action 1
- Symphonic Series Bundle (Vols 1-3)
- Symphonic Series Vol 4: Piano & Orchestra 1
- Symphonic Series Vol 5: Epic Action 2
- Symphonic Series Vol 6: Dark Fairy Tales
- Symphonic Series Bundle (Vols 4-6)
- Symphonic Series Vol 7: Piano & Orchestra 2
- Symphonic Series Vol 8: Medieval Crusades
- Symphonic Series Vol 9: Arabian Adventures 2
- Symphonic Series Vol 10: Atmospheric Sci-Fi
- Symphonic Series Vol 11: Horror & Mystery
- I have them all.
- Cinematic Strings Vol 1
- Cinematic Strings Vol 2
- Cinematic Strings Vol 3
- Cinematic Strings Bundle (Vols 1-3)
- Cinematic Strings Vol 4
- Cinematic Strings Vol 5
- Cinematic Strings MIDI Bundle (Vols 1-5)
- Cinematic Strings Vol 6
- Cinematic Strings Bundle (Vols 4-6)
- Cinematic Strings Vol 7
- Cinematic Strings Vol 8
- I have purchased the bundles 1-3 and 4-6 last year and I wait for the release of the bundle 7-9 at the end of this year.
Buying all these collections little by little, slowly, by taking profit of the occasional discounts (it is recommended to subscribe the newsletters to have access to "secret" discounts which are sometimes available only for the subscribers) is an excellent way to get all these pearls for finally not so expensive at the end.
These collections above are essentially made of MIDI files, much more that of sample loops (sample loops, for me, are not at all a way to compose, it is even the inverse... the sample loops takes the user away from the wonderful passion of composing. For a true composer a huge library of MIDI phrases is infinitely more interesting than stupid loops. As you can see with the wonderful videos of our friend Yellukhan, when these MIDI collections are used cleverly in combination with the awesome composition built-in tools of RapidComposer (scales, chord progressions, harmony rules, counterpoint, miscellaneous generators of ideas and suggestions, note-by-note tool, etc.) they can take the user to real fully personal compositions, not only because you have plethora of ideas which come with these purchased MIDI phrases but also... because you can modify all these phrases note by note to reach something 100% self-made. Simply... all these phrases avoid the composers to reinvent the wheel each one in one's corner.
Used in RapidComposer, all these huge collections of MIDI phrases reveal their huge interest.

Now that is how to be welcomed to the forums! haha Thanks! That is a treasure trove for sure. Exactly what I was looking for and that will make using Raid Composer really fun.
I play blues guitar and with blues, you use a "vocabulary". Phrases that make up a musical sentence. So, this is how I approach my music creation. I ventured into orchestration a few months ago and decided to do that, build an orchestration "vocabulary". You can hear that, especially in film scoring. For instance, a comedy chase scene is different than a drama chase scene, musically. So, Rapid Composer is perfect for structuring a vocabulary.
So, thanks for that!

Yellukhan, this is amazing! Not just the 137 new piano phrases but to see how you work with the Phrase Container! This is really something all RC users should watch.
Many thanks!

Yellukhan, your approach looks very useful for listening to how two tracks and variations sound together. Could you explain (either in a video or in writing) exactly how to do it? Did you make and save all those phrases by hand? Or were you able to use RapidComposer to automatically create those phrases and now you are listening to them in the context of another track?
Thank you,
D. Vyd

Attila, me thank you as always!
BluGenes, i glad you like it!
d.vyd, in the video after 8:00 i tried to show exact process how i import the phrases..
simply:
dragged midi to RC,
in the Midi Import page
Import + Analyze + Convert (Chord) selected,
i just set Bars/Line to 226 because i want to see & edit all data at once...
after import done
first select the phrase then Right Click to Time Line to open Time Line Inspector as in video execute command
"Split Phrase At Bar Boundaries" then be sure all phrases are selected,
right click to a phrase to open Phrase inspector,
give Group Name ( folder that phrases will save in to) and give a name to phrase ..for example as in video
Unutamam_001 ...
when you hit "Save Selected Phrases"
RC will automatically rename the phrases like: Unutamam_001, Unutamam_002, Unutamam_003 so on..
