Question about Phonec: Psychic Modulation Demo

Hi, I'm reviewing the Psychic Modulation Demo before I buy it, but I've found that I can't seem to map or adjust the knobs using automation or a third party device. I have to manually click each knob to produce the desired effect. Is this a demo only restriction or is it how the actual product is? It's the main hinge that decides whether or not I purchase this VST. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
