Hi Peter-

it seems since the newer upgrades of RMV I can't drag and drop the midi files from the loop window into Digital Performer (mac). It was working fine previously. When I dragged it to the desktop it seems the extension is .mi not .mid for some reason and thus Digital Performer isn't seeing it as a midi file. It works when I change the extension on the desktop then drag into DP but really that's an extra step I dont need when I'm in a hurry.

Any idea why the extension is now .mi, and is there any possibility of a quick fix to get the files to export correctly as .mid?

Hi Brett,
indeed it's a bug and it has been fixed in RM V 5.1.3 version.

I also can't drag and drop midi files in Ableton, I am on Win 8.1

Are you using the latest version (currently it's 5.1.5)?
