Because of the reason that i rarely like the acoustic sound of the recording room that samples are recorded in it is important to me that the samples are available as dry as possible. Is this common practice with Drumdrops or are the samples including the rooms reflections? is it possible to download a demo to try it out?

Hi there

Well our Singles Hits packs and Multi-velocity packs contain mixed versions of the close mic, overhead and room. Our All Samples packs contains the separate room mice, close mics and overheads so you can mix them separately. Different kits have been recorded in different rooms and in different ways. So for example the Gretsch kit is recorded in a pretty dry room but with 5 kit mics (no close mic ing) to emulate the sound of Al Jackson Jr. Most of our kits are pretty unprocessed.

You can listen to the samples in each kit by clicking on the sound tab of each kit EG this one for the Gretsch

If you sign up you will get a free single hits pack of the Yamaha kit so you can get a feel for them but the complete separate mic samples are only in the kontakt 5 packs, all samples pack (or some in the drum replacement pack for slate trigger).

Out of the kits we have - Ludwig, Gretsch are recorded in dead rooms. The Yamaha and Premier are recorded in a bigger room but it does not have a huge amount of life. The Rogers dub kit is in-between. The only really reverberant room so far is the Mapex rock kit.

If you have any other questions let us know.

Thanks

Nick
