We have a lot of kits in the pipeline that have been recorded and are in various stages of getting processed. Each kit we record takes us about 6 weeks to record, mix and edit and then prepare for release in the three packs - Kontakt 5 pack, Multi-Velocity Pack and the Single Hits Pack.

In the pipeline are the following kits:-

Late 1970s Roger Big R Dub Kit (coming very soon)
1970s Hayman Vibrasonic Kit
Hayman Vibrasonic Dallas Arbiter Kit
1965 Ludwig Super Classic Kit
Mapex Saturn Heavy Rock Kit
1970s Slingerland Classic Rock Kit
1990s DW Collector Series Kit

(For more details - check here: - http://www.drumdrops.com/drum-samples/

We are continually recording more and have a lot planned using the different acoustics of the different studios we work in but we would love to know what kits people are looking for.

Classic disco kits
very old kits (1940, 1950)
unusual kits...
midi files coming with kits

i own a bunch of your drum sessions, and it was more than time for you to do what you're doing : kontakt based kits ! Congrats.

Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely have a classic disco kit in the pipeline. Will look at the 40s and 50s options too.

MIDI grooves will follow seperately once we have made some headway on the Sample packs. We may build MIDI grooves into our Kontakt interface but that probably will not be until the initial 5 or 6 kits are out the door.

You are right - we should have release sample kits earlier. It is just a lot of work to do it properly and we had to find the right developer to work with. As you probably know we like to perfect what we release ;)

Hi,

I have a couple suggestions for kontakt-kits:
1. Funk kits that are nailing the James Brown, Meters, Funkadelic kind a sound.
2. The "drumdrops in ska"-kit.

P.S. Splendid job on the Big R Dub kit! You nailed that one.
