No, the patch area on our website has been closed for many, many years. I still have all the patches though, 52mb in total. Are DS-404 patches still available for download?
Any suggestions as to a file hosting site I could put these on?
Kind regards

PS - CMplay is a much better playback engine than DS404, if you don't have it then I'd suggest picking up a recent copy of Computer Music magazine. CMplay will handle all your old DS404 and SR202 files just fine, and will play all the new patches from more recent issues as well.

Sorry Muon, I don't understand?! How can anything sound "much better" than a lush, broadband pad being LFO-swept by the DS404's awesome band-reject12 filter at about 0.3Hz, modulation depth around 20%?! I'm of the opinion it can't possibly get much better!!! (Seriously: massive respect for giving the world this beautiful, blue marvel... God knows how many hundreds of hours I've spent absolutely lost in its sumptuous, transcendent and infinite possibilities.)

CMplay can do synthesis... make some wavetables (I use mOscillator) and map them in DS-404 and then import the patch into CMplay. All that you do in 404 can be done in CMplay plus more.
In the future there will be robots!

First off in terms of raw performance, user interface accessibility, stability and compatibility CMplay knocks spots off DS404 - and the filters you love are identical and you get a dedicated EG and LFO. If you like the Band Reject filter, check out CMplay's phaser FX as well - it's pretty much the same thing but with more options.Sorry Muon, I don't understand?! Also, if you load your lovely trancendental pad .404 patch into CMplay, you could quickly whip up a multi with four layers of the same patch at different tunings feeding into a bunch of FX for full-on mad lushness. Hours of fun
Kind regards
