Midi Files for Arp?

Is it possible to import my own midi melodies (files) to the arp for playin.

I think Zeta+2 has this feature.


The Arp from the Refx Nexus2 is te best i think, can we do something like this.

Martin, could you please email me a couple of MIDI files to test this? I am indeed planning to implement it tonight, as 2 sound designers (Rob Lee) also requested this feature

It is kind of tricky though: If there are overlapping (polyphonic) notes for instance, I should handle such cases as well.

Anyhow just send me some test files, I will debug with those...

The arpeggiator in Snythmaster is powerful as well, I can assure you. It can operate in the following modes:

Up, Down, UpDown, DownUp, As Played (classic modes)
Sequence (The MIDI import will import in this mode). The range of notes is 2 octaves currently but I can increase that further if necessary
Arpeggiate: This is a special mode you wouldnt find in any other arpeggiator

Each of the 32 steps has slide and hold buttons as well.

The tricky part is the polyphonic MIDI. Right now we dont support polyphonic arp sequences in SynthMaster.

Moving forward with the easy parameter auto assign algorithm. I think I'll be done with that tomorrow and then can move on to this exciting feature
