The sequel to Wivi Band™ for iOS is finally here! WI Orchestra is a full-blown miniature orchestral library for iPhone and iPad!
Click here to go to WI Orchestra in iTunes!
The basic software is a free download via App Store, and includes 5 instruments (Violins, Trumpet, Flute, Tenor Saxophone & Timpani). Full sections of instruments can then be added via in-app-purchase for a whopping $2.99 each.
Since this is also a forum for professional software instruments, we ask you to please have realistic expectations regarding sound quality! The full library clocks in at 28 Mb, and is designed to be a sketching tool, or playground for orchestral music, more than anything else!
What you get is full range dynamics instruments, for the full orchestra, using patent-pending sample processing and WIVI technology cominbed. Fun, fast loading and easy-to-use! You can record your own music, layer by layer, using the touch sensitive keyboard and export as wav files via the app section in iTunes (please note that velocity sensitivity and wav export requires iOS 4.0 or higher). WI Orchestra supports using the mic as a breath controller, but the easiest way of input is to pick a base dynamics (pp, p, mp, mf, f or ff) and simply use the touch sensitive keyboard.
Footprint is super-low, in our tests it runs great even on the older iPhone 2G devices.
To get an idea of what to expect, please take a minute to listen to the included demo song, created directly in WI Orchestra!

Not bad at all. Picked up nicely with "The Blue Danube". I'll be giving it a try!

Thanks, very nice!
Any chance you can let it autorotate on the iPad as currently it's locked (and my iPad stand holds the iPad the opposite way up).
I've added it to our listings over at iDesignSound
