I had a crash in Cubase5 (XP Pro 32Bit), "Access Violation". First time while pasting the serial and another time while inserting AAR while Cubase is playing.
But its not every time.

I thought the official e-mail was some kind of spam or other evil doing. After reading negative comments here relating to Windows XP/32bit, I'm not so keen on updating right now. Hmmmmmmmm . . . Updates are supposed to be improvements but lately that's not not always the case! I'll look at this in more detail later on!

any more info on this?4damind wrote:I had a crash in Cubase5 (XP Pro 32Bit), "Access Violation". First time while pasting the serial and another time while inserting AAR while Cubase is playing.

- can you succesfully recreate this somehow?
- is the cubase arrangement empty or is this in a song with several plugins loaded? if so, could you please try with an empty cubase?
- is it always the same error that is being displayed? if so, can you maybe post a screenshot of the error?

Yeah, I was wondering about that! Congratulations! You liked the company so much, you joined 'em!brok landers wrote:hi audiosabre, there indeed seems to be a problem, however, it looks like it is rather vista related than FL related. thanks for reporting, we're on this.audiosabre wrote:I managed a sure way to get the UI to display every time (in the FL8.5 beta version). Atm, the only method is to install 1.5.0 and then install 1.2.2 (without uninstalling 1.5.0).
On copying and pasting the serial number: AAR crashes, displaying the error: "Could not write serial to preference file. Please contact ArtsAcoustic support!".
This is closest I've gotten it to work with 30+ installs, even so it "freaks out" in that it is not displayed as an installed program in windows control panel.
Hope this info is useful.

well, in fact, we became friends since my rave about that reverb back then (you remember that thread, do you)... we stood in contact ever since, also we realized we're not so far from each other, location-wise, so one lead to the other ...bduffy wrote:>snip<

Are your hardware reverb boxes working for Arts Acoustic as well?
Cheers!

Fwiw, installation and registration with new serial worked absolutely flawlessly for me (Macbook 2.4, OSX.5.7, Logic 8.02).
I really like it that the preset path is now indicated by those bullets.
Will check the other new stuff out later on (summer tour and all...).
Cheers
Sascha

Yeah, the famous reverb shoot-out. Still have the preset called "AAR_the_long_one.fxp" (and all sound samples on my disc).brok landers wrote:... my rave about that reverb back then (you remember that thread, do you)... we stood in contact ever since, also we realized we're not so far from each other, location-wise, so one lead to the other ...
Has it become a factory preset with 1.5?
