Hi people
just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with audio software (multitrackers ala cubase etc.) under linux?
I understand there would be some driver issues, my card isn't supported for example.

Ive tried most of the major hosts. I recently found out about rosegarden, but didnt like it too much.
Planet ccrma seems to offer the most comprehensive solution to linux audio production. I would stay away from ardour personally, it really is not too well done... took me months to get the damn thing to work and even then it still segfaulted on me

Actually...Ardour is quite good and stable now. Give it another try.
As for starting with Linux for audio, try Planet CCRMA and/or check out the latest CM Special.
